Villa Villekulla, the alternative Vacation in Villagrazia di Carini, Sicily

Pina (Giuseppa Misia) also called Pippi, is the owner of this house. So we gave the house the name of Pippi Longstockings house, Villa Villekulla. We, that is Pina, Sicilian artist and me Gunnar, German scuba instructor and since 1978 in Sicily, living in a cozy little house in Villagrazia di Carini not far from Palermo airport.
For rent is the complete ground floor (we live upstairs with our own entrance) with a large fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom, washing machine. Veranda for hanging out or to eat outside in the sun or shade. The sofa bed in the kitchen included, 5 person can sleep here. The beach is 10 – 15 minutes walking distance. Palermo is about 15 kilometres from here, you can get there by bus if you don’t have a car. The house is in a summer residence, so some confusion is to except only in high season period. The hustle and bustle in the village and on the beaches then also reached its peak. The walk to the village, by the way, takes 5 minutes. Along the coast many bars open in the summer for drinks with music and entertainment..
Living with our guests we imagine something like this: Either we make something like a social community, or you go your own way, to say, we love to cook for you, we can dine together or individually. At dinner we are very flexible, whether fish or meat or vegetarian, only the best products are coming in our house. Pina is an excellent cook and can lead you back and forth across the Sicilian kitchen, I’m more an experimental type, with me everything’s going to be European at the stove. Fruits and vegetables are mostly organic produce. If you would like nothing more than the house, you get the keys and that’s it. Bed linen and towels are there and can on demand be changed at any time, otherwise once a week.
Pina is more or less in place while I go to Terrasini every day to do my job in my scuba centre. So if someone wants to come with me in the boat to sea or want to learn to dive.. Or if you prefer watch Pina while painting, better still, participate actively, no problem..
My job is not necessarily so that I never have time, some excursions to the surrounding attractions are always possible, otherwise you can rent a car here nearby. The airport is ten minutes from here, don’t worry, here you never hear planes taking off and landing or even while flying.
A word about the prices. We do not offer great luxury, but a neat and tidy house in a rustic style:

• € 45.00 for 1 – 2 person per day (Yes it’s true, for 2 person and not per person)

• € 20.00 for each additional person / day

• € 15.00 for children 3 – 13 years

• € 00,00 for children until 2 years

• 15% surcharge in August

Don’t like to cook during your vacation?

• Dinner for 15.00 € standard menu incl. wine & water (costlier food like oysters or lobsters can be served at request)

• Free WLAN in the house

• Computer use with Internet possible

• No extra charges for gas, electricity, water or cleaning

• No air conditioning (only fans)

• Transfer from/to the airport of Palermo for 20.00 € (5-seats car, see the pictures)

• Transfer from/to the airport of Trapani for 70.00 €
